Biography
Jennifer Q. Kane, Ph.D. is licensed as a psychologist in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia and an accredited psychologue in France. Dr. Kane obtained her doctorate from George Mason University in Virginia. Her dissertation research focused on the experience of growth after a traumatic experience. Her clinical work focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy, particularly as applied to anxiety disorders, the transition to parenthood, and recovery from traumatic experiences. Dr. Kane received clinical training at the George Mason University Center for Psychological Services, Basicos de Attentión Intgral de Salud (Costa Rica), Greenbelt Cares Community Center, Catholic University Counseling Center, the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center. Recently, Dr. Kane spent over four years as a clinician at the Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy.
